The India Safari Club has recently started daily tours of Jodhpur and the desert
temple village - Osian. These tour have proven to be a great success and
besides being a fun tour, it's great "value for money"
8:45 am pick up from your hotel in our 4 wheel drive safari jeeps
9:00 am tour of the magnificent Mehrangarh fort built by Rao Jodhaji in
the year 1949 (1:30 hrs to10:45 am enroute to Osian stop at the Mandore gardens the old capital of
the state of Marwar ( 0.5 hr. Tour)
12:30 am after an hours drive through villages reach Osian and tour the
6th and 8th century Jain temples.
01:00 pm mount your camels at the bottom of the dunes and start for the
camel camp (0.5 hr. Ride)
01:30 pm reach the camp nestled between dunes with the lodge perched on
the highest dune for lunch
02:30 pm start back for Jodhpur enroute stop at a Bishnoi village and also
see gazzelles in the plentiful ( the so called village safari ) by 4:30 pm
you will dropped off either at your hotel or the clock tower, down town
Jodhpur.
