CAMEL RACES ( FULL MOON NIGHT RACES AT THE O.C.R.C.)
DAY 1.
Afternoon arrival by flight/ train. After which around 3.00 pm board
the steam train (charter) at Mandore railway station and start for Reggie's
Camel Camp Osian (train journey approximately 2 hours-as the train has
to stop for water at Mathania Station; The train goes through dunes,
red pepper farms , mustard fields and through quaint villages which
is quite an experience and takes you back in time - The Raj days!!.
5.00pm Arrival at Osian railway station (Louise Viutton did their luggage
add.here). Here you will be met by our turbaned Camel riders with their
camels on the platform and start for the camp on Camels (a half hour
ride). Reach the camp just in time for sunset by the swimming pool perched
on the highest dunes of the Thar -Welcome with drums, face towels, drinks
etc.
 Installation
in respective tents.
Later in the evening traditional folk musicians and dancers followed
by a Rajasthani BBQ dinner on the sand dunes to end with fireworks.
The guests could also be given Rajasthani attire for the evening.
DAY 2.
Early morning Yoga by the pool (optional). After breakfast mount their
Camels (there will also be a few camel carts) and head further into
the desert-enroute visiting local tribals -the likes of Bishnois, weavers,
potters etc and also see a variety of desert wildlife. Afternoon arrival
by an Oasis where a "Champagne" lunch will be served. After
lunch return back to camp in Jeeps.
After lunch a short siesta or they can use the swimming pool or be at
the Race Course.
 4.00pm
The camel races start at the O.C.R.C (Osian Camel Race Course) on our
1 Km Camel race track (the only one of its kind in the country)-here
proud tribes and clans with their camels come from miles around Osian
and Jodhpur to compete against each other. There will be a proper marching
band along with high tea. lnbetween a 20 minutes Camel Polo Match will
also be organized-here the guests will themselves play .This race is
big local attraction and is held every full moon night, here all the
camel riders are fed later on after the races Locals from around Osian.
Jodhpur and foreign tourists also attend these races -there are different
stands for them.
After the prize distribution for the Camel Races , we meet by the lodge
for cocktails and dancing (DJ with his full equipment) Followed by dinner
in the dinning lodge.The camel racers are served dinner separately and
some entertainment is also organized for them.
DAY 3.
After breakfast departure
This
morning four wheel drive treasure hunt rally can also be organized.

Other Points |
- Every
participating camel owner will get Rs 101/ for racing. *all
camel owners will be given tea and dinner.
Each village will be given money to hire out transportation
to bring their village supporters. Supporters will also
be given tea and dinner.
Each village will bring in a team of 8 camels.
There will be 8 races of 10 camels each. Every village has
a camel participating in each race.
Finals -winners of all 10 races.
